“Story of A True Art”

I started painting 14~15 years ago. I decided to write this for people whose goals are to be a true artist or a true musician.

First of all, a very important thing is not to pursue “how to do technically”. The most important thing is for you to evolve/grow by utilizing your learning in everyday life. You might think how this is related to your art or music? However, what you create is what you are now. So if you are living your life with ego and desire, you cannot create true art or music.

I am not writing this to brag about myself. Looking back 15 years ago, my first priority was to paint from my every day experiences, not to focus on the technique of painting. Of course I was painting, over hundreds of paintings. But I never sought how to technically improve my painting. My first priority was taking action on what I had learned in everyday life. One day, a couple of years later I felt my painting was different from what I had painted before. I realized true art is “this direction”. I cannot express this in words. I felt my paintings changed. I continued painting and I took action on what I had learned, my paintings were changing too.

Painting & music equals to you, this means that if you are not evolving (growing), your art does not change either. If you are evolving (growing) you can create a harmonious and wonderful art. It sounds strange but it is obvious. There are many paintings and music that are highly praised. Then what is the different between those art vs. “True Art” or “True Music”? The answer is vibration. If you can receive vibration, you may feel some highly recognized arts may have harsh vibration. Please try them, feel their vibration.

If you are aiming for “True Artist”, the most important thing to do is to take action on what you have learned. If you do not change, your art will not change. Please try it to see yourself.
